Upgrade 4: Coincidence, the work of Lady Luck or ...?

Do you believe in coincidences or do you believe that God meant it to be?
Here are some of my personal experiences for your judgment.

Note: For those who do not know, "kebetulan = coincidence"

Case 1:
When we decided to open an offline physical boutique we didn't really have that much money. Applying for a loan was not an option to us. We surveyed around Bangi and found out that we needed more than RM10K in hand to secure a nice & strategically located shoplot. This of course does not include renovations, signboard, MPKJ license, start-up stock, SSM license, furniture & fixtures, etc which easily adds up to at least RM30K!

One fine day, my wife 'kebetulan' overheard her Agency Manager (Abg Din) talking about wanting to downsize his Bangi branch and looking for potential tenants to occupy the excess space. My wife quickly grabbed the opportunity. After a few discussions an agreement was made and we ended up only having to pay a rental of RM800 plus we didn't have to pay for any deposit at all! 'Kebetulan' Abg Din also knows of a contractor and a signboard maker who were willing to offer us their services with installment payment terms with no additional cost or interest! They even gave cheaper quotations. In one month our new boutique was up.

Case 2:
When we wanted to buy our new house, again we faced a stumbling block. A semi-D easily costs at least RM500K in Bangi (which in turn means a deposit of RM50K). My EPF 'Akaun 2' only has a little above RM25K. Just before Hari Raya we went to Warta and saw some new housing development project promotional counters. I asked around and found out that 'kebetulan' one of the developers were also looking for a buyer for an already completed semi-D project in Kajang (just next to Bangi) which the previous buyer backed out due to his loan approval rejected by the bank. Best part was, they were selling it way below market value. Keeping the story short, we only had to pay RM2k for utilities deposit and not even a single cent for the loan! We are to receive the keys any day now :).

Case 3:
When we wanted to buy our Altis last year, we already had a second car (Naza Sutera) which we couldn't trade in or sell off because of its high depreciated value. The installment was almost RM500 per month (which means extra money from our pockets). 'Kebetulan' a friend of my wife (whom at that time she recently got to knew in an eTiQa Takaful workshop) has a car rental business. For a minimal handling fee per month, we handed her the car. Not only were the rental enough to cover for the installments, we even earned a few extra hundred bucks every month!

Case 4:
Remember in one of my previous posts, I mentioned that I'm planning to go freelance next year? I've never actually told anyone about it but already I've received an offer.

The list goes on.

So what do you think? Coincidence, the work of Lady Luck or ... some help from above?
